America I AM: Los Angeles, CA California Science Center Exposition Park
At Paradise Bar, we jump into events of all kinds and always strive to add a new dimension to the buzz of the crowd and flavor of the event. We had such an opportunity on February 6, 2010 when we provided refreshments to Reception attendees of Tavis Smiley's exhibit America I Am at the California African American Museum.
This groundbreaking exhibit, recently bestowed the prestigious Thea Award, highlights the impact of African Americans in the United States, examining the intertwining history of both; histories which are really one in the same. After exploring the gallery housed at the California Science Center, visitors gathered at the California African American Museum.
Visitors to the exhibit's February 6th Reception enjoyed live music, words from Tavis Smiley and our classic Soft Bar featuring fresh lemonade, iced tea and mountain spring water with lemon. We love all events, from dynamic birthday parties and flashy weddings to black tie receptions and low-key get togethers, but events of this historical calibre are few and far between. We're so happy to have been a part of this important exhibit, wonderful job to all involved and a special thanks to Mr. Smiley for bringing such a vital exhibit to Los Angeles.
